Playoff Possibilities

Atlantic Hockey

RIT is ineligible for the Atlantic Hockey tournament and the NCAA tournament, but has clinched the Atlantic Hockey regular season title.

Sacred Heart has clinched the number one overall seed for the Atlantic Hockey tournament and will host Mercyhurst, Bentley, Canisius, or American International in the AHA quarterfinals.

Army has clinched the second seed in the AHA Tournament and will host Holy Cross, Mercyhurst, Bentley, or Canisius in the quarterfinal round.

Connecticut has clinched home-ice for the quarterfinal round. The Huskies can clinch the No. 3 seed with a win over Holy Cross.

Air Force has clinched home-ice for the quarterfinal round. The Falcons can clinch the No. 3 seed with a win over American International and a Connecticut loss.

Holy Cross has clinched a quarterfinal berth, and will travel to either Connecticut or Air Force.

Mercyhurst can avoid the play-in game with a win or tie at Canisius, or with a Bentley loss or tie.

Bentley can avoid the play-in game with a win against RIT, or a tie and a Canisius loss or tie.

Canisius can avoid the play-in game with a win over Mercyhurst, or a tie and a Bentley loss.

American International will finish in tenth and will travel to Mercyhurst, Bentley, or Canisius in the play-in game on March 3rd.

CCHA

Notre Dame has clinched the CCHA regular season title and a first-round bye. The Irish will host the lowest remaining seed in the CCHA quarterfinals.

Michigan has clinched a first-round bye. The Wolverines can clinch the No. 2 seed in the CCHA playoffs with a win or tie at Ohio State.

Miami has clinched a first-round bye. The Redhawks can clinch the No. 2 seed in the CCHA playoffs with a win and a Michigan loss.

Michigan State has clinched a first-round bye, and will be the No. 4 seed in the CCHA playoffs.

Western Michigan has clinched a home playoff series in the first round, and will host No. 12 Bowling Green as the No. 5 seed.

Nebraska-Omaha has clinched a home playoff series in the first round and will host either Alaska or Northern Michigan as the No. 6 seed, as the Mavericks win the 4th tiebreaker with Ohio State via a superior winning percentage against the league champion.

Ohio State has clinched a home playoff series in the first round and will host either Alaska or Northern Michigan as the No. 7 seed.

Lake Superior State can clinch home-ice for the first round with a win, or a Ferris State tie or loss.

Ferris State can earn the final home-ice berth for the first round with a win and a Lake Superior tie or loss.

Northern Michigan can earn the No. 10 seed with a win over Miami, or a tie and an Alaska tie or loss.

Alaska can earn the No. 10 seed with a win over Nebraska-Omaha and a Northern Michigan tie or loss.

Bowling Green will finish in twelfth place and will travel to Western Michigan for the first round.

CHA

Niagara has clinched a CHA Semifinal berth. They can clinch the CHA regular season with a win or a Bemidji State loss.

Bemidji State has clinched a CHA Semifinal berth.

Robert Morris can clinch a CHA Semifinal berth with a win over Niagara or a Wayne State loss.

Wayne State can earn a CHA Semifinal berth by defeating Bemidji State this weekend and taking at least three points from Robert Morris next weekend, provided Niagara defeats Robert Morris.

Alabama-Huntsville will finish in either fourth or fifth place and will play in the CHA Quarterfinal game on March 9.

ECAC

St. Lawrence has clinched a first-round bye and the Cleary Cup.

Clarkson has clinched a first-round bye and will be the No. 2 seed in the ECACHL playoffs.

Dartmouth has clinched a home playoff series. The Big Green can clinch a first-round bye with a win or tie against Colgate.

Quinnipiac has clinched a home playoff series and can clinch a first-round bye with a win, or a tie and a Cornell loss.

Cornell has clinched a home playoff series and can clinch a first-round bye with a win and a Quinnipiac loss or tie, or a Quinnipiac loss.

Princeton has clinched a home playoff series. The Tigers win the tiebreak with Harvard and can clinch the No. 6 seed for the ECACHL playoffs with a win, or a Harvard loss.

Harvard has clinched a home playoff series, and can clinch the No. 6 seed with a win and a Princeton loss or tie, or a tie and a Princeton loss.

RPI can clinch a home playoff series with a win and a Colgate loss or tie, or a win and a Quinnipiac win or tie.

Colgate can clinch a home playoff series with a win and an RPI loss or tie, or a win and a Quinnipiac loss.

Yale can clinch the No. 9 seed with a win over RPI and a Quinnipiac loss

Union can clinch the No. 9 seed with a win over Brown and an RPI loss.

Brown can clinch the No. 10 seed with a win over Union and a Yale loss or tie.

Ivy League

Yale and Dartmouth have clinched shares of the Ivy League title.

Cornell can clinch a share of the Ivy League title with a win over Harvard.

Hockey East

New Hampshire has clinched a home-ice berth, and has clinched at least a share of the Hockey East regular season title. The Wildcats can claim sole possession and the No. 1 seed with as little as one point in their three remaining games.

Boston University has clinched a home-ice berth and can finish anywhere from first to third.

Boston College has clinched a playoff berth. The Eagles can clinch a home-ice berth with a win and a UMass loss or tie, or a tie, a UMass loss, and a Vermont loss or tie.

Maine has clinched a playoff berth, but cannot clinch home-ice this weekend. The Black Bears will finish between second and sixth place.

UMass and Vermont have clinched playoff berths and will finish between third and sixth place. Neither can clinch home-ice this weekend.

Northeastern has clinched a playoff berth and will finish in either seventh or eighth.

Providence cannot earn a playoff berth this weekend and cannot be eliminated.

UMass-Lowell cannot earn a playoff berth this weekend, but they can move into eighth place and a playoff position with a win and a Providence tie or loss, or a tie and a Providence loss.

Merrimack has been eliminated from playoff contention and will finish in tenth.

WCHA

Minnesota has clinched home-ice for the first round of the WCHA tournament and will host either Alaska-Anchorage or Minnesota-Duluth. They can clinch sole possession of the MacNaughton Cup with a win over St. Cloud State, and a share with a tie.

St. Cloud State has clinched home-ice for the first round of the WCHA tournament. The Huskies can clinch at least the No. 2 seed with a win and a Denver loss.

Denver can clinch home-ice for the first round of the WCHA tournament with a win or tie, or a Wisconsin loss.

Colorado College can clinch home-ice for the first round of the WCHA tournament with a win and a Wisconsin loss.

North Dakota cannot clinch home-ice on Saturday. The Sioux will finish between second and seventh place.

Wisconsin and Michigan Tech cannot clinch home-ice this weekend. Both will finish between third and eighth place.

Minnesota State will be on the road for the first round of the WCHA tournament and will finish between sixth and eighth place.

Alaska-Anchorage and Minnesota-Duluth will be on the road for the first round of the WCHA tournament and will finish in either ninth or tenth place.
