Michigan Dismisses Quick

CHN Staff Report

Michigan freshman defenseman Kevin Quick has been dismissed by the team, the University announced Friday.

"This decision was made because Kevin violated our team rules and the trust of the team," said coach Red Berenson.

Quick, a 2006 third round draft pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning, appeared in 21 games for the Wolverines this season, finishing with two goals, two assists, and 12 penalty minutes. His dismissal leaves Michigan with six active defensemen.
