Minnesota State Loses Kalinski

Minnesota State junior forward Jon Kalinski will forgo his remaining eligibility and has signed with the Philadelphia Flyers, the Mankato Free Press is reporting.

Kalinski was sixth-round pick of the Flyers in 2007.

Kalinski had eight goals and 18 points in 39 games this season. That was a dropoff from his 17-goal season in 2006-07. He had no goals and six assists in the Mavericks' last eight games.

For his college career, Kalinski finishes with 29 goals and 56 points in 106 games.
