CORRECTION: Chorney Not Cited
CHN Staff Report
North Dakota defenseman Taylor Chorney was not cited for a "loud party" violation in Grand Forks this past weekend, as was earlier reported by College Hockey News.
T.J. Oshie and Chris VandeVelde were cited for the violation, as originally reported. But, only the residents of a location are given "loud party" citations, and Chorney is not a resident of the house where Oshie and VandeVelde live.
CHN apologizes for the error.
Yeah its good to see you make a retraction.

So there was a citation and the story was true. I'm glad to see the correction but it doesn't change the basic facts of the case. Question is why are Sioux players continuing to have these problems.

woooo Rob lets have you impress us with your pointed questions. I would be willing to bet that all the college hockey teams that were in the NCAA playoffs probably had a little get together after they got back from Denver.
Let me guess your another stupid Gopher fan that has nothing better to do than take score on how someone at UND has screwed up.

Yes, everyone who pays attention to and is critical of what's happening at UND is automatically a Gophers fan! Very logical indeed. It's not that it's particularly hard to "take score" of the screw ups at UND, but I'm sure that has to do with the fact that Oshie & co are targeted by the GF police department!

If only the "residents" are given loud party citations who is to say that they misbehaved in any fashion. Perhaps it was others who were raising the ruckus and Osh and CV were in the wrong place at the wrong time?

A loud party violation is a joke in grand forks.... it seems like everyone gets them because there is no real requirements for how to assess whether there is actually a "loud party". People get these for sitting around watching a movie too loud.... it really is meaningless...

who really cares? a loud party violation - in a college town? Give the kids a break. There is a hell of a lot worse they could be doing instead of playing loud music.

Might I suggest putting them on double secret probation.

your right john the UND students could be doing worse deeds like stealing credit cards from their team mates, looking at and distributing child porn on the internet, running into the back of other peoples cars and then threatening them with violence, they could be raping other students on campus and or getting kicked out of school for academic violations. Not to mention they could be punching cops in Madison.

wow!!! a loud party violation... these come a dime a dozen in GF. you can't fart in a room with more then 3 people there without getting a noise violation. maybe the police should crack down on the drug problem in that town rather than mess with the students that make the town what it is. but in there defence it is much moresafe to go to a party house and give a noise violation to a kid than it is to do some real work and chase a bad guy drug dealer that might fight back.
