Hey D-man funny that you decide to spin the story against Minnesota. Perhaps it could be that Guentzel was not good enough to play for the Gophers? Oh, of couse not because then there isn't a way to make fun of the Gophers with this article. Let's see he plays for Notre Dame which is an average team which had a great season... Anyway he played all of 26 games and had 4 assists. Wow he's the next TJ Oshie except classier. How much play time do you think he's gonna get Minne if he can't crack the roster at Notre Dame. Even a NoDak grad can follow this logic.

Ever heard of Bill Butters? He was a great defensive coach prior to Guentzel. Danny Brooks played for Denver. Steve Woog played at Northern Michigan. So Ryan Guentzel played at Notre Dame. There's something wrong with that? Assistant coaches move around so what is the big deal with MG leaving Minnesota? Did Dave Hakstol really need to run Brad Berry out of Grand Forks? Since Berry got dumped the Sue have had to suffer through guys like Slow Joe Finley, the highway cone.

And as long as we're talking about funny, I think it's absolutely hysterical that Oksposo burned the gophers by going pro and having the coaching staff get called out for their lack of player development! Now, what's your point about the rodents winning the FF in '02 & '03? Big Friggin deal, then what about '97 and '00 for the Sioux? Furthermore, who's won more NCAA titles, genius? Well, Oshie getting alcohol has an element of truth to it. I have always said in my posts, I would have fun partying with TJ Oshie and some other Sioux players, they sound like party animals. so you are telling me that und will win it one of these years even if oshie, chorney, finley, and even duncan go pro? Give me a break. They are the heart of the team and also they lost jp lam also. So no proven goalie, three of four of there top players leave nd you think that they will win it all and the gophers won't come close. WHATEVER! The gophers have alot of talent coming back and coming in. Also this is about Guentzel and that the Gopher program will really miss him and I wish him the best and I hope the Gophers find a good replacement for him.

You're right Mike, UND doesn't have other quality players on their team already and they don't have any top quality recruits coming to play for them. I guess that would be because the quality program that is Minnesota has snatched up ALL of the recruits leaving no one to play for any of the other programs. Get your head out of your a$$, dipsh!t. Everyone knows that the rodent program can't develop players as was called out by the Islanders management. Furthermore, the Sioux have and will always continue to crush the rodents. GO SIOUX!

you're telling me that the gophers can't develop players!...alex goligoski, jordan leopold, paul martin, keith ballard, thomas vanek, gino guyer (that was actually a joke!). the fact of the matter is that college players play 35-40 games a year if they are on a good team...players in the AHL or even ECHL are playing twice that. of course you are going to speed up the development when you are playing that many games plus practises against top level talent. the gophers do just fine developing players just like nodak, wisc, denver, cc, maine, unh, bc, bu, mich.

This is a freaking joke. News flash... Underage kids drink at college. Oh my God, what are we going to do. Calling the Blarney incident news or TJ Oshie getting caught drinking is like saying the sun rising is breaking news. Why is it that all Sewage Fans fans have this little man complex like nobody respects them. They have a quality program; but please for the love of god stop the annoying banter. You have always become the annoying guy at a party that people just look at and laugh their ass of because you don't know how annoying you completely are. For Notre Dame fan, congrats on getting to the Championship game; but you should thank god everyday you have a good coach because without him you are a second rate program in a second rate conference. Be more concerned about your football program because Charlie Weis is taking your program down the toilet. Everyone should wish Guentzel the best, any school would be honored to have him behind the bench.

D-Man, I'm sorry - but as a University of North Dakota alumni - I'm dissappointed to see a Sioux fan behave they way you have on this public forum. If fans from other schools and teams want to act like morons, then that is their business. But at least try to be decent. There are a lot of fans and alumni from UND who are trying to improve the image of the school and support the hockey program in a positive way... the school has enough problems with its academics and hockey program the way it is, don't make things worse for us. UND Alumni - What the hell is your problem? This is a college hockey blog for Christ's sake! The Sioux hate the Rodents and vice versa. This is the one place where we can all meet up to talk a little trash about each other's teams. Instead you look at it as a place where one needs to show dignity and respect to all those who read. Like I said before, you don't belong here if all you want to do is keep the peace amongst the posts.
