MSU Defenseman Hurt In Off-Ice Incident

CHN Staff Report

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State defenseman A.J. Sturges was hospitalized following an off-ice fight Sunday, according to East Lansing TV station WLNS.

Police report a fight between numerous parties, resulting in injuries for three or four victims, which they would not identify. According to reports, some students left a house part and returned later with "friends," which instigated more fights.

No charges have been filed yet.

The MSU athletic department released a statement Monday, saying, “We are aware of an off-campus incident that occurred early Sunday morning. The MSU Athletics Department is cooperating fully with East Lansing Police in its open investigation.”
