Vermont's Milo Selected By Yankees in MLB Draft

Vermont forward Justin Milo, who also plays on the UVM baseball team, was selected in the 37th round of this week's Major League Baseball draft by the New York Yankees.

Milo, 22, a 5-foot-8 junior, is an outfielder for the Catamounts.

Milo will sign with the Yankees, but will be allowed to play his senior year of hockey at Vermont.

Milo was fourth on the Catamounts in scoring this season, with 12 goals and 26 points in 39 games, as Vermont went to the Frozen Four. He scored a goal in Vermont's loss to Boston University in the national semifinal.

A native of Edina, Minn., Milo originally played for Cornell before transferring to Vermont.
