Ferris State's Ouellette Suspended Additional Game

CHN Staff Report

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — The CCHA has suspended Ferris State freshman forward Travis Ouellette for one additional game, under the league’s supplemental discipline process, as the result of an incident that occurred in a game at Notre Dame on Jan. 10.

The action was taken by the league after a review of an incident that occurred near the 9:41 mark of the third period. Oullette received a major penalty for checking from behind and a game disqualification.

A disqualification penalty is accompanied by an automatic one-game suspension, and this tacks on another.

As a result, Ouellette will miss the team's two huge games this weekend against Miami. Ferris State and Miami are neck and neck in the Pairwise, and in the CCHA standings.

Oullette has six goals and nine points this season in 20 games.
