Biega Suspended One Game by ECAC

CHN Staff Report

ALBANY, N.Y. — The ECAC has suspended Harvard freshman defenseman Danny Biega for one game. Biega will have to sit out today's Beanpot consolation game against Northeastern.

Biega was suspended for a hit from behind in the game against Brown last Friday at Meehan Auditorium.

The League action was taken after a review of the incident that occurred at 17 minutes, 46 seconds of the second period. Biega received a five-minute major penalty and game misconduct.

Biega is eligible to return to action Friday, February 12 vs. Rensselaer.

How is it that he takes a suspension in a league game, gets suspended by the league, but then gets to serve the suspension during a non-league game? Shouldn't he have to sit out the RPI game - that being Harvard's next home game?

It doesn't work that way you serve the suspension in the next game.
