Goloubef Suspended For Consolation Game

CHN Staff Report

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Wisconsin defenseman Cody Goloubef will have to sit out today's WCHA consolation game against Denver because of a one-game suspension handed down by the league today.

Goloubef was suspended as the result of a play in Friday's WCHA semifinal against St. Cloud State, which the Badgers lost, 2-0.

Goloubef was called for a five-minute major for contact to the head, midway through the second period with the game still tied, 0-0.

The suspension was determined as a result of a review of the incident by the WCHA Final Five Tournament Committee under the WCHA’s Supplementary Discipline Policy and Procedures.
