PRINCETON, N.J. — Eight Hobey Baker Award finalists are among the 12 players named to the 2010 All-CHN First and Second Teams.

Leading the way up front is the nation's leading scorer, Maine's Gustav Nyquist, along with a pair of seniors that have led their teams to No. 1 seeds heading into this week's NCAAs: Denver's Rhett Rakhshani and Wisconsin's Blake Geoffrion. The second team includes two of the nation's top goal scorers in Bobby Butler and Chase Polacek, followed by perhaps the nation's top two-way player, in Miami's Jarod Palmer. Of these six, only Palmer is not a Hobey finalist.

On the back line, Wisconsin's Brendan Smith is the only Hobey finalist of the group.

In net, both Denver's Marc Cheverie and Cornell's Ben Scrivens are Hobey finalists, and their two teams are in the same NCAA Regional this weekend. Scrivens has three straight shutouts, and has passed Cheverie in the national lead in save percentage. Though for the season as a whole, Cheverie narrowly remains in the top spot in our list.

The All-Rookie Team had some tough calls, leaving out three members of this year's World Junior gold medal team — RPI's Jerry D'Amigo, Michigan's Chris Brown and Boston College's Chris Kreider. But it's hard to argue with the other three, and it does include two other gold-medal winners, North Dakota's Danny Kristo and Denver's Matt Donovan.
