Olver Is the Next To Go

Northern Michigan forward Mark Olver has decided to skip his senior year to sign with the NHL's Colorado Avalanche, the team that drafted him in 2008.

Olver, recently named a Top 10 Hobey Baker Award finalist, scored 49 points this season in leading Northern Michigan to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 11 years. The Wildcats lost in double overtime to St. Cloud State in the First Round at the West Regional.
