CHN Staff Report

ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Senior defenseman Chris Hepp has left St. Cloud State, according to a report from the university. Hepp has signed with the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads.

Hepp has skated in all 20 of SCSU's games so far this season, tallying one goal and two assists. For his career, Hepp has played in 100 games for the Huskies, scoring three goals and adding 10 assists.

“Chris was a big part of our success in 2009-10 with his physical and demanding defensive play," SCSU coach Bob Motzko said in a statement. "We thank him for his contributions to the program and we wish him all the best as he begins his professional career."

KVSC in St. Cloud is also reporting the departure of freshman forward Bryce Johnson. He will reportedly report to Omaha of the USHL. Johnson has skated in just three games this season scoring no points and accumulating one penalty.
