MANCHESTER, N.H. New Hampshire will be without centers Kevin Goumas and Grayson Downing for Saturday's Northeast regional final against Massachusetts-Lowell. Both players left Friday's 5-2 win over Denver and did not return. Their injuries are being categorized as "upper body."
Goumas leads the Wildcats with 32 assists and 42 points. Downing is tied for the team lead in goals with 15, and he ranks third in points with 31.
Downing left the game after a hard hit in the second period, while Goumas took a hit to the head from Nick Shore early in the third that earned Shore a game misconduct.
Nick Sorkin, who moved from wing to center after Downing left Friday's game, will serve as UNH's top center between Dalton Speelman and Austin Block. Jeff Silengo moves from the third line to the second line to center Casey Thrush and John Henrion. Jay Camper and Collin MacDonald, neither of whom dressed on Friday, will both dress tonight.
