Dartmouth's Sikura Sidelined
by Joshua Seguin/Staff Writer
Dartmouth junior forward and captain Tyler Sikura will miss 4-6 weeks with a knee injury.
The injury happened early during Dartmouth's wild 8-8 tie against Northeastern on Monday night. After the game, during postgame interviews, Sikura was visibly limping and on crutches in the locker room area.
"Tyler, unfortunately got injured in this game," said Dartmouth coach Bob Gaudet after Monday's game. "But prior to this, he's been playing really hard."
Sikura was a potential all-league player, but has failed to live up to those expectations for Dartmouth. So far this season, Sikura has 6 points, on a goal and five assists, for a team that has underachieved. Sikura had 32 points last season.
Dartmouth has begun its season 2-11-2.
Sikura joins Eric Robinson on the mend. The two were expected to be forces for Dartmouth on the season.
