Archibald Wins NCHC Player of the Year

Nebraska-Omaha forward Josh Archibald, who is second in the nation with 29 goals and was also today named a Hobey Baker Award finalists, was named NCHC Player of the Year.

Bob Motzko, who led St. Cloud State to a first-place finish, was named Coach of the Year. Denver goaltender Sam Brittain, a Mike Richter Award finalist, was named Goaltender of the Year.

Denver had another major award winner in Joe LaLeggia, who was named both top defenseman and Offensive Defenseman of the Year.

Winners were determined based on voting by the conference’s head coaches and one student-athlete from each team with the top three vote-getters (plus ties) being finalists.

Sportsmanship Award
Eamonn McDermott, Colorado College

Scholar-Athlete of the Year
Nic Dowd, St. Cloud State
