Edmonton Signs WMU's Jordan Oesterle

The Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with Western Michigan defenseman Jordan Oesterle on a two-year entry-level contract.
Oesterle, 21, has played three seasons with Western Michigan, accumulating 34 points (7G, 27A) in 113 games.
In 2013-14, the 6-foot, 185-pound blueliner had career highs in numerous categories. Appearing in 34 games for the Broncos, Oesterle led all Western Michigan defensemen in blocked shots (70). He also posted career highs in points (17), assists (15) and penalty minutes (27).
Oesterle will join the Oilers American Hockey League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Barons, for the remainder of the season.
