Wilson Mulls Leaving BU

CHN Staff Report

Colin Wilson, the Boston University sophomore-to-be who was selected No. 7 overall by Nashville in last weekend's NHL Draft, plans on leaving the Terriers as soon as the Predators believe he's ready.

In an interview with Nashville's City Paper, Wilson said he was hoping to play with Nashville as soon as possible.

"Most of the guys in the top 10 want to try to make their NHL teams this season," Wilson said.

Wilson, who was Hockey East Rookie of the Year last season, and excelled at the World Junior tournament, will be attending Nashville's rookie camp next month.

"I am going to talk to the coaches at the end of the camp. If they tell me I have a real fair shot of making this team, then I am definitely going to make that commitment," Wilson told the paper. "If I end up in the AHL then I end up there. If they tell me it’s not there for me this year then I am going back to college."
