Frozen Four Tix On Sale This Week

CHN Staff Report

The NCAA will start selling tickets to the general public to the NCAA Men's Frozen Four on Saturday, Nov. 19.

This year's Frozen Four is April 5 and 7, 2012, at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Fla.

Tickets are $195 each and all-session, which includes the two national championship semifinal games on April 5 and the national championship game on April 7. More information can be found at

The national semifinals are April 5 at 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET and the National Championship game is April 7 at 7 p.m. ET.

This is the ninth year of the 16-team NCAA Tournament. College Hockey News has an informational page on how the field is selected and seeded.

This will be the 65th annual NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Championship, and the first time it will be held in Florida.

Michigan, which lost last season's championship game to Minnesota-Duluth in overtime, has the most NCAA titles with nine.

Detroit in 2010 is the only venue — football stadium Ford Field — that has not sold out in the past 13 years, but that year obviously set the all-time attendance record of 107,500.

The NCAA Regionals will be held March 23-25, in Bridgeport, Conn. (East), Worcester, Mass. (Northeast), Green Bay, Wis. (Midwest), and St. Paul, Minn. (West).
