Penn State recruit, Conor Garland, likely headed to the QMJHL

According to a report by U.S. Hockey Report, Penn State recruit Conor Garland will pass up his NCAA scholarship and sign a deal with the QMJHL's Moncton Wildcats.

Garland was considered one of Penn State's top recruits. A '96 forward, he had three points (1 goal, 2 assists) in six games with the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the United States Hockey League.

Garland committed to Penn State in August.

His reported signing is the second recruit Penn State will have lost to the CHL after Thomas Welsh, a defenseman, signed with Mississauga in September.
