York To Miss UNH Games After Eye Surgery

BOSTON — Boston College coach Jerry York underwent outpatient eye surgery to repair a detached retina this morning. According to the school, he is resting comfortably at home.

York is expected to miss both games against New Hampshire this weekend.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Jeffrey Heier at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston.

Associate head coaches Mike Cavanaugh and Greg Brown will lead the team in York’s absence.

Boston College and New Hampshire are 1-3 in the Pairwise heading into the weekend. The home-and-home series starts at BC on Friday, and then in Durham, N.H., the next night.
