Quinnipiac Cleans Up ECAC Awards

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — As expected for a team that dominated the ECAC regular season, Quinnipiac cleaned up the hardware, as announced by the ECAC today.

Goaltender Eric Hartzell, who earlier in the day was named a Hobey Baker Award finalist, was named ECAC Player of the Year and Goaltender of the Year, in a vote of league coaches. In addition, the Bobcats' Rand Pecknold was named ECAC Coach of the Year, his first such honor.

Quinnipiac got another honor when Zach Davies was named the league's Best Defensive Defenseman.

The Bobcats are currently 26-6-5, and sit No. 1 in the Pairwise headed into this weekend's ECAC semifinals.

The Best Defensive Forward went to Cornell's Greg Miller, while league Rookie of the Year was awarded to Rensselaer goaltender Jason Kasdorf.
