Four 2013 Hobey Baker Award finalists are among the 12 players selected to College Hockey News' Preseason All-CHN Teams for 2013-14.

All four are forwards, including first-teamers Johnny Gaudreau of Boston College and Austin Czarnik of Miami. Wisconsin senior Michael Mersch cracked the CHN First Team, after leading the Badgers in goal scoring a year ago.

The other two Hobey finalists are Preseason All-CHN Second Team members — Greg Carey of St. Lawrence and Ryan Walters of Nebraska-Omaha, both seniors. Also there is Minnesota junior Kyle Rau.

A pair of sophomores are the goaltenders on the list, and both from Hockey East — Providence's Jon Gillies and Massachusetts-Lowell's Connor Hellebuyck. Both are expected to lead teams that are NCAA tournament candidates.
