Horn Leaves Minnesota for USHL

CHN Staff Report

Former Minnesota high school star Christian Horn has left the Minnesota Gophers for the USHL, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Horn has not appeared in a regular-season game for Minnesota in his two seasons with the team. He appeared in an exhibition game last year.

Horn, a 5-foot-11 forward, will head to Tri-City.

Horn helped lead Benilde-St. Margaret's to Minnesota state high school championship in 2012. He was being recruited by a number of schools, but chose to attend Minnesota as a walk on.

Horn would have three years of NCAA eligibility remaining if he transfers somewhere else following this season.
