Grzelcyk Out Indefinitely With Shoulder Injury

CHN Staff Report

Boston University's troubled season took another turn for the worse today. Defenseman Matt Grzelcyk, recently returned from the World Junior tournament, dislocated his shoulder in practice and will be sidelined indefinitely, coach David Quinn said.

(Edit: It was learned later that Grzelcyk would miss the remainder of the season.)

BU recently got Sam Kurker and Cason Hohmann back in the lineup, after each had been sidelined since mid-November with injuries. The Danny O'Regan and Matt Grzelcyk came back from playing for Team USA at the World Juniors.

But the Terriers lost junior forward Evan Rodrigues to injury over the weekend, and now Grzelcyk will be out once again.

The Terriers are 7-10-2 heading into this weekend's outdoor game with Maine at Fenway Park.

Grzelcyk, a sophomore from Charlestown, Mass., has three goals and 11 points in 19 games for the Terriers this season.
