WCHA Hands Down Pair of 1-Game Suspensions
CHN Staff Report
Mitchell’s suspension is a result of a blindside hit at the 4:58 mark of the first overtime period of Alaska-Anchorage’s game Saturday at Michigan Tech. "No penalty was called on the ice; however, upon further review, the hit was delivered in a manner that warranted the suspension," the league said.
Vieth’s suspension is a result of his game misconduct for contact to the head, which occurred at 17:18 of the second period in Alaska’s game Saturday at Ferris State.
Mitchell will miss the game this Friday at Northern Michigan. Vieth will miss Friday's game at Bowling Green.
