Harvard the Pick to Lead ECAC
CHN Staff Report
Harvard, a Frozen Four participant last season, was selected to again lead the ECAC, according to a preseason poll of coaches. The Crimson are coming off a banner season, where they registered a 28-6-2 overall record, capturing their first Beanpot Championship since 1993 and advancing to the Frozen Four for the first time since 1994.
Quinnipiac placed second. The Bobcats enter the 2017-18 season following a 23-win campaign in 2016-17 that gave the Bobcats 132 wins over the last five years – the most of any NCAA Division I program in the nation. Cornell, which returns its top three goal-scorers and three of the team’s top four blueliners from last season, comes in at No. 3.
